AEC Southall Conn Rods Section Personnel
Detail from View 3 of the Factory/Conn Rods Section Pages

Jim .....

We are grateful to Mark Bukowski for identifying "Jim" in View 3 of the Factory/Conn Rod Section Album; he emailed us as follows:

The man in view 3 of what I used to call "The Big-end Knock Shop", I knew as "Jim".
I worked on the Brass Line within speaking distance of him. I started work there in about 1970, about the same time as No.2 of what I think was called the "AEC Bus & Truck Times" was issued. I stayed until about a year before closure; so I missed out on some redundancy money!
Jim lived about the same distance due north of the Uxbridge Road as the AEC was due south of it. He was connected with The Southall Football Club, the grounds of which have been demolished to make way for housing. I'm sorry, but that's all I can remember about him.
Kind Regards, Mark.

Mark also attached a good image of his 'AEC Athletic & Social Club' Membership Card, valid to the end of 1978, which has been posted to our YahooGroup/Webshots Albums.
